Gothic Revival House

This Gothic Revival house has a few nice details which are easy to miss when passing by. Although this house needs a bit of work, it still retains a lot of its character.
Notice the interesting pattern on the slate roof using different colored slates. I see this same kind of stone wall in front of many older houses throughout this area.

Just imagine how it would look with the porch woodwork and windows repaired and painted, a few trees taken out and replaced with some nice landscaping.

You can see the slate pattern a bit better in this picture.

Hard to say if the rear section is original or if it's an addition. The woodwork is not as ornate as on the front porch.

I've seen this radial/sunbeam pattern on the porch of another house in this area (probably a commonly used detail).

You get to see a bit more of the decorative woodwork in this picture. Much of the railing is missing.
